CONFLICT-AWARE SCHEDULING · GREEN ROOM PRO

Rehearsal conflict management.
See the conflict. Make the call.

A clear calendar and an unanswered availability request are different things. Green Room Pro helps directors and stage managers see submitted conflicts, follow up on missing availability, and check the people actually called.

THE SHORT ANSWER

What is rehearsal conflict management?

Rehearsal conflict management brings cast and crew availability into the planning process. Green Room Pro collects submitted conflicts and checks selected invitees when a manager creates or edits a call, so the manager can resolve an overlap or deliberately proceed.

BUILT AROUND THE PRODUCTION

Know what is available. Know what is still unknown.

Keep availability attached to the company, with enough context to make the next scheduling decision.

Collect the way people’s lives work
Managers choose whether conflict entry is handled by managers only or by members and managers. Enabled members can enter one-time, date-range, all-day, or weekly conflicts, or confirm none.
Read the company’s availability
Managers review day and week views, see who has not submitted, and use Added and Last edited dates to spot changes.
Check the actual invitees
Creating or editing an event checks current conflicts for its selected groups and people. Recurring calls check every selected date.
Make an explicit decision
An overlap identifies affected people before saving. Cancel to revise the call, or explicitly choose Schedule anyway. Managers can add and edit member conflicts; member editing follows the production’s conflict-entry setting.

PUT IT INTO PRACTICE

A better check before “see you at six.”

01

Ask for availability

Choose who enters conflicts, then collect availability or confirm none. Follow up with people whose availability is still unknown.

02

Draft a rehearsal call

Choose the time and the people or groups you need. Review current overlap checks, including every date in a recurring call.

03

Resolve or deliberately override

Change the rehearsal to avoid an overlap, or make an explicit override when the production needs to proceed.

What to know before you start

Conflict checks depend on the availability people submit. An empty or missing submission is not proof that someone is available. Green Room does not automatically generate a full rehearsal schedule.

NO PER-PERSON FEES

One show free. More planning power with Pro.

Conflict submissions, manager availability views, and invitee overlap checks are included with the organization’s Pro plan. Cast and crew do not need individual paid seats.

A FEW PRACTICAL QUESTIONS

Know what fits before you invite the company.

Is conflict management included in Green Room Free?

Free includes role-aware scheduling and calendar sync for one open production. Availability submissions, manager conflict views, and overlap checks require Green Room Pro, which costs $29 per month per organization.

Who can enter rehearsal conflicts?

Managers choose Managers only or Members and managers for each production. Managers can add and edit member conflicts. Members can edit their own entries when member editing is enabled and retain read access otherwise.

Can cast members add recurring conflicts?

Yes. Pro supports weekly conflicts as well as one-time, date-range, and all-day conflicts. Managers can enter and edit member conflicts; members can enter their own when the production enables member editing.

What if someone has not submitted availability?

Missing availability remains unknown. Managers can see who has not submitted and follow up; a missing submission should not be treated as confirmation that someone is free.

Does it check recurring rehearsals?

Yes. When a manager creates or edits a recurring call, conflict checks cover every selected date for the selected groups and people.

Can a manager schedule over a conflict?

Yes. The overlap is shown before saving, and a manager must explicitly choose Schedule anyway to proceed.

Does a conflict excuse someone from attendance?

No. Pro attendance shows submitted conflicts for review, but staff separately choose each person’s attendance status. A conflict does not automatically mark a person excused.

Will Green Room automatically create our rehearsal calendar?

No. Managers create and edit calls. Green Room Pro checks submitted availability to support those decisions; it does not automatically generate a complete rehearsal calendar.
